origin, growth and process of coffee, tea, cardomen, ginger, arecanut and other spices by
touching, smelling and knowing them in real out of the packet.
Daniel’s homestay is a budget accommodation in Wayand that provides free WiFi connectivity. It is located at 6km from the National Highway road, Muttil. There are two guest rooms, with attached baths, at this homestay. Guests have access to television, refrigerator and washing machine in the homestay.

Itinerary

  • Day 1:

    Arriving home, can be spend with family members, learning about home organic farm plantation and spending some time with our homely animals.
  • Day 2:

    A companying with the village ambassador (the one who know the village, people, plants, agriculture and other village activities deeply) a walk through the village. Conversation with local village people, learning about all the plants, rubber processing technique and spices as such pepper, coffee, arecanut, turmeric and many more.
  • Day 3:

    A visit to Uravu. A nearby Ngo, making bamboo products; 500m away from the home stay. The walk will continue to food processing unit, bamboo bag unit and other micro entrepreneurship units in the village and returning to the home stay by the lunch time. After lunch, taking rest guest can go for a small trucking to a nearby Manikkunnu hill, where they can witness the entire village beauty from the top of the mountain.
  • Day 4:

    time with most famous National bird watcher and photographer Mr. Krishana. He can explain the variety of birds in the village, seasons and the photos along with a walk. In addition, people who are interested in farming can join with the villagers for plucking coffee, pepper; coconut also can be a part of paddy planting or cultivation. Days in our village can be charted according to the wish of the guest.
  • Day 5:

    Option for Wayanad site seeing. Main visiting places: Kuruva Island, Pookote Lake, Jain Temple, Banasura Dam, Edakkla cave, Soochipara or Kanthanpara waterfalls, Tea plantations visit and Muthanga wild life sanctuary. [These places needs two days plan, but according to the choices of the guest selected spots can be visited in one day].
